SSC GD Mock Test: Free Full Paper, 80 Questions

In short: this SSC GD mock test is a free, full 80-question paper on the official CBT pattern: four parts of 20, 160 marks, 60 minutes, +2 for a correct answer and −0.25 for a wrong one. It comes as two English papers, Mock 1 and Mock 2 with different questions, and as an SSC GD Hindi mock test with a Hindi Part D. You can start either online without logging in. SSC GD exam pattern and marking

Taken from SSC's notice for the Constable (GD) Examination, 2026 (01.12.2025). The mock above follows it part for part.

SSC GD Constable CBT: parts, questions and marks
PartSubjectQuestionsMarks
Part AGeneral Intelligence & Reasoning2040
Part BGeneral Knowledge & General Awareness2040
Part CElementary Mathematics2040
Part DEnglish or Hindi (your choice)2040

The questions are of matriculation level, and the real exam is offered in English, Hindi and 13 regional languages. Scores are normalised across shifts, and NCC certificate holders get bonus marks on top.

Should you guess in SSC GD?

Usually yes, and this is where SSC GD differs from SSC CGL. In GD a wrong answer costs 0.25 against 2 for a right one, so it takes eight wrong guesses to cancel one correct answer.

Average marks from guessing one question (our arithmetic)
Options left after you rule some outAverage gain per guess
4 (pure guess)+0.31 marks
3+0.50 marks
2+0.88 marks

A pure guess is right one time in four: 2 × ¼ − 0.25 × ¾ = +0.31. Even a blind guess gains on average, so leaving a question blank throws marks away. Watch the clock instead: 80 questions in 60 minutes is 45 seconds each.

How this mock test was checked

The paper was drafted with AI for our sister site, Global Drishti, and then solved by hand before going live here. AI drafts go wrong quietly. In this one we found a blood-relation question with two right answers and three Hindi questions sitting inside the English part.

What the hand check found
OutcomeQuestions
Correct as drafted60
Corrected (ambiguous wording or a thin solution)14
Replaced or added (broken, off-pattern or missing)6

The options were also reordered so each letter is the right answer about a quarter of the time, as in the real exam.

Practise one subject at a time

After the mock, drill whichever part cost you the most marks. Each of these pages has the answer and a worked solution under every question.

Frequently asked questions

Is this SSC GD mock test free?

Yes. You can open the full paper online without signing up or paying. Making an account is optional, and it only keeps your past scores.

How many questions are in the SSC GD mock test?

80 questions in four parts of 20, worth 160 marks, with a 60-minute timer. That is the pattern in SSC's notice of 01.12.2025 for the Constable (GD) Examination, 2026.

What is the negative marking in SSC GD?

A wrong answer costs 0.25 marks and a correct one earns 2. Unanswered questions cost nothing. The mock scores your attempt the same way.

Is the SSC GD mock test available in Hindi?

Yes. The SSC GD Hindi mock test above has the same 80-question pattern in Hindi, and its Part D is the Hindi language option: synonyms, opposites, idioms, sandhi, samas, spelling and one-word substitution. In the real exam you choose Hindi or English for Part D.

Is there more than one SSC GD mock test?

Yes. Mock 1 and Mock 2 are two English papers with different questions, so you can take one, study your mistakes and test yourself on the other. The Hindi paper is a third attempt at the same pattern. All of them are timed at 60 minutes with +2 and −0.25 marking.

How were the answers checked?

The paper was first drafted with AI. Each of its 80 questions was then solved by hand: 14 were corrected and 6 were replaced or added, so every answer key has been worked out, not assumed.
