In both papers Language I is Hindi and Language II is English, the pair most candidates choose. In the Paper 2 mock, maths and science appear as two tabs of 30 questions. In the real exam they are one section of 60. The three sectional tests keep the full paper's pace of one minute a question.

Pass marks and how many qualify

To pass CTET you need 60%, which is 90 out of 150. Half of almost every section is pedagogy, not subject content. A candidate who knows the maths and EVS well but has not prepared the teaching side can still finish short of 90.

February 2026 CTET: candidates who appeared and qualified (CBSE result of 30.03.2026)
PaperAppearedQualifiedPass rate
Paper 110,65,4103,58,93733.7%
Paper 218,67,4283,46,73818.6%

We worked out the pass rates from CBSE's own counts. About one in three passed Paper 1 and fewer than one in five passed Paper 2, so a mock score of 90 should be a floor to beat, not the target.

Using the mock in the weeks before 12 December

With 150 questions in 150 minutes you have one minute a question. Since nothing is deducted for a wrong answer, leave nothing blank: a blind guess among four options gains a quarter of a mark on average. Take one paper fully timed, then go through the explanations for every pedagogy question you got wrong, because those are the marks most candidates lose. The Language I tab here is Hindi, so if you take another language as Language I, practise its comprehension and pedagogy separately.

Frequently asked questions

Is this CTET mock test free?

Yes. Both papers open online without signing up or paying. An account is optional and only keeps your past scores.

How many questions are in CTET Paper 1 and Paper 2?

150 questions in each paper, one mark each, in two and a half hours. There is no negative marking, so a wrong answer costs nothing.

What are the passing marks in CTET?

60%, which is 90 out of 150. School managements may give a concession to SC, ST, OBC and differently abled candidates under their own reservation policy, so the lower figure depends on where you apply, not on CBSE.

When is the next CTET exam?

On 12 and 13 December 2026. CBSE moved it from 06.09.2026 by a notice of 14.09.2026. The exam city slip comes about 15 days before the exam and the admit card two days before.

Is there a CTET mock test in Hindi?

Language I in both papers is in Hindi. The other sections are in English for now. A Hindi medium version of the full paper is planned and will be listed on this page when it is ready.
