What this section tests
Quantitative aptitude rewards a short list of methods applied quickly. Percentage, ratio and time-and-work questions reward a method you have drilled; trigonometry rewards knowing the identities cold. A test here is 25 questions, the same length as the SSC CGL quant section, so it works as a section rehearsal.
