The floor is 40% for UR and EWS, 30% for OBC (non creamy layer) and SC, and 25% for ST. Grade III is Pay Level 2, with an initial pay of Rs 19,900 and an age limit of 18 to 30 years on 01.07.2026.

The exam has been held, so use this paper two ways. If you sat the CBT, take it timed and compare your score with your answer key estimate. If you are preparing for the next Technician cycle, note where the marks are: 40 of the 100 come from class 10 science, mostly physics and electricity, so a candidate strong in science starts well ahead.
Where the marks are in the Technician paper
The science section is pitched at class 10: Ohm's law, resistors in series and parallel, electric power and units, magnetism and induction, work and energy, light, acids and bases, metals and alloys, and the human body. Maths is the usual arithmetic and mensuration, and the 10 general awareness questions lean towards railways and static facts. With 90 minutes for 100 questions you get 54 seconds a question, and a blind guess gains nothing on average with the one third penalty, so answer only what you can narrow down to two options or fewer.
